Danish artist John Kenn Mortensen is a father of two and children's tv show writer and director who creates a world filled with oversized monsters on tiny human-sized Post-It notes. I've posted his work last September and thought it only appropriate to share some more of his creepy and whimsical drawings as we near the most creepy and whimsical holiday, Halloween.
I love Mortensen's work because it really brings me back to the best part of my childhood. I used to be obsessed with drawing monsters. I would always draw my creations with felt tipped markers on newsprint paper simular to the yellow of Mortensen's Post-It notes. I look at these little scenes and see a refined version of my childhood images.
