While running around Manhattan this past Saturday I walked into crowds of 99%ers, zombies, and a group of tweed suit wearing bicyclists. Surprisingly the later intrigued me the most, these dapper men and women were participating in the Rugby Tweed Run 2011. A Tweed Run is a group bike ride of traditional British cycling attire wearing riders. The strange idea began in London and has spread about the world, this time here in NYC. Sponsored by Ralph Lauren's Rugby, the event took place outside of their shop on University. I found some lovely pictures from the run via Unabashedly Prep and the Rugby Blog. Aren't these mustached gentlemen terribly handsome?
