Grown Up Paper Dolls

Artist Claire Oswalt creates work that combines the childhood paper doll with the fine art of detail graphite drawings. She doesn't quite create sculptures but two dimensional wood illustrations in three dimensions. I am particularly fond of how Oswalt depicts violent imagery but then juxtaposes it with the simple construction of a childhood toy. See more after the jump.
